The Effort is a waitlist right now, so what we collect is small and what we do with it is simple.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist: your first name, your email address, and whatever you choose to tell us in the optional fields (who you're putting the effort in for, the occasion, when, and how you found us). That's it. No accounts, no passwords, no payment information.

For analytics we use GoatCounter, which counts page visits and events without cookies and without tracking you across the web. We don't use advertising trackers of any kind.

Why we collect it

To email you about The Effort — when the first editions are ready and, rarely, meaningful updates before that. The optional fields help us build the right thing first. We will only email you about The Effort.

What we never do

We don't sell your information. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't add you to anyone else's list. What you write in "who are you putting the effort in for" is read by us to understand our waitlist, and used for nothing else.

Deletion & questions

Want off the list, or your information deleted entirely? Emailhello@theeffort.app and it's done — no forms, no friction. Questions about any of this go to the same address.
